We loved the roundabout so we didn’t have to wait for our rides on a busy street. Rooms were great and pool area was a nice place to relax before heading out to dinner. We loved the two free drink tickets for each day!

Westin is always so comfortable and bedding excellent. This Westin is my favorite because of staff and the restaurant. The dinner at the bronze bird was fabulous. I don’t usually care for risotto, but the risotto here was excellent. The general manager is out and about engaging with customers. It sets the entire tone for the hotel, which is excellent.
I tried to book on the Marriott website but it said it was not available for the dates I wanted. I had to book on Expedia because the dates I needed were available on those dates on Expedia. I prefer to book on Marriott website as I am a member and receive benefits.

We had a really nice stay at the Westin! Overall things were great. Two notes: 1) our tv lost internet connection on our last night. This was a known issue we didn’t find out about until checkout. 2) the resort fee benefits weren’t super useful to us, I wish we could have opted out.

It was nice. The beds were so comfortable. Best sleep I’ve had for a good minute. The staff were all super nice and helpful. Right outside there is a Panera and at the corner there is a Chipotle which was super convenient.

Room was amazing, I booked the junior suite and I could not have been happier with it. It’s the perfect amount of space with an amazing balcony view. Hotel is located in a great area next to everything you want in the Gaslamp area. The lobby is also very nice to hangout if you want to get a drink at the bar. Overall this hotel property is awesome and I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to visit the Gaslamp area in San Diego.

My husband and I stayed at the Westin San Diego for our anniversary, and overall our experience was wonderful. Special thanks to Zozima (SD local and front desk) , Julianna at concierge, Brandon, and the café staff, all of whom went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Zozima provided excellent food & activity recommendations. The check-in process was smooth, and switching rooms was handled seamlessly.
Unfortunately, we did have some less pleasant experiences. On 9/27, while seeking assistance at the concierge desk, Suzanne looked directly at us but refused to acknowledge or assist. Only when I said “excuse me” did Julianna step in with warmth and professionalism, while Suzanne continued to ignore us. Later, when I tried to revisit the encounter with Suzanne, she admitted seeing us but remained dismissive and unaware of how her actions impacted our experience.
We also experienced repeated TV issues (screen glitching/freezing). The first time, engineering resolved it quickly, but when it happened again that evening, the concierge seemed rude and inconvenienced. This time, no engineer showed up and there was no follow-up.
Overall: We enjoyed our stay thanks to the excellent staff members who truly cared, but lapses in service particularly at concierge kept the experience from being flawless. Location is perfect.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Westin San Diego in Gaslamp. It's centrally located to great restaurants, bars, and sites.
The entire staff was super helpful and friendly. Ernie at the restaurant was great!
I would stay at the Westin again anytime.
