Hôtel situé dans un très bel endroit à l’écart du bruit de la ville, dans un écrin de verdure.
Les chambres sont très belles, grandes et bien décorées.
Le personnel est très agréable.
Le petit-déjeuner est excellent avec des produits de grande qualité.
Belle piscine.
Tout était parfait.

Schöne Anlage in traditionellen Gebäuden, in denen es aber an Komfort nicht fehlt. Sehr freundliches, zuvorkommendes Personal. Das Hotel liegt bei der Old Bridge, etwa 15 Minuten zu Fuss bis zum Stadtzentrum, dafür ist es sehr ruhig.
Der schöne Garten ist für Leute mit Gehschwierigkeiten nicht geeignet.

Tout le staff est attentionné et "aux petits soins". Nous avons passé beaucoup de temps dans l'hotel car nous êtions en mission de travail et nous avons donc apprécié le calme et le cadre très agréable...

Villa Maydou is a walking distance to everything good clean hotel friendly staffs quiet hidden away from the traffics noise breakfast is huge better than others 3 stars hotel everything is still new and in a good construction I would highly recommended

Highy recomended this fantastic place. I stayed in heritage building with gargen view which are very beautiful and quiet.
Staffs were so nice, friendly and also provided great services!
The room is quite big and clean. I love the pool and bar area.
They have free bycicles for free and easy to get around to city.
Would not hesitate to go back :)

Séjour très agréable, gentillesse et réactivité du personnel avec une mention spéciale à la Duty Manager qui a su répondre à nos demandes et nous conseiller sur les excursions à faire avec de très bons prestataires. Petits déjeuners copieux, savoureux et variés. Nous recommandons cet hôtel ! Une amélioration a prévoir pour l’odeur du linge de toilette :-)

시설설은 괜찮은편,한인식당 김삿갓바로근처, 그러나 이불이 눅눅함.또한 호텔 수영장 깊이가 너무 깊어서 이용하는데 다소 불편. 여행자거리와 좀 떨어져 있어서 그게 단점

도착하자마자 루앙프라방을 소개해주던 직원 친절했습니다.
메인스트리트에서 거리는 있지만 호텔에서 빌려주는 자전거로 다닐만한 거리였어요.
다만 제가 운이 나빳던지 자전거 상태가 너무 안좋아서 고생을 조금 했네요.
그래도 자전거를 타고 다닌 덕분에 택시피자라는 가게에서 재미있는 음료를 먹을 수 있었어요.
위생팩에 든 양이 많은 음료~재미있는 경험이었어요.
아마 메인스트리트가 숙소였다면 먹을 수 없던 음료였겠죠?

Accueil très agréable. Chambre spacieuse et très confortable. Décoration soignée. Seul le petit déjeuner, très bon au demeurant, pourrait être plus varié.

excellente experience dans cet hotel. Il est situé derrière un temple, loin des bruits de la rue, à 10 minutes à pied du centre. L'eau de la piscine est propre et les chambre décorées avec gout. Les bâtiments sont très bien entretenus et le manager est très sympathique (et francophone de surcroit). Le seul bémol est était le wifi au debit sporadique. Mais bon, on ne vient pas a LPB pour surfer...

작고 아담하면서도 단아하고 예쁜 호텔이예요.
객실도 무척 깨끗하고 매트리스와 베게도 푹신하고 좋았어요.
욕실도 넓고 샤워기에서 더운물도 아주 잘 나와서 좋았어요.
목욕가운과 슬리퍼가 있어 편리했구요.
샴푸와 샤워젤, 비누는 준비되어있지만 칫솔과 치약은 없으니 준비해야해요.
그리고 티팟과 커피, 티도 없어요.
저는 풀사이드바에서 주문해서 마셨는데 가격이 저렴하고 객실 발코니까지 가져다 주어서 아주 편리했어요
조식도 아메리칸 스타일과 라오 스타일중 고를 수 있어요.
라오 스타일은 하루 전에 주문해야 하지만 아주 맛있으니 한번 시도해 보세요
4일간 머물렀는데 내 집처럼 편했어요.

Family holiday with teens. Everyone loved Luang Prabang and the friendly and charming Hotel Villa Maydou. Hotel is set in old temple grounds, and the temple at the front is still practising, so expect to hear some chanting and see novice monks do homework in the shade. Few minor quibbles: airport transfer failed both ways (pick up was forgotten about, and the hotel also ordered a way too small tuk-tuk for taking us (4 adults with suitcases) to the airport. Bar was constantly out of juices, for the week we were there, despite our suggestion they may stock up from a local shop, in order to sell cocktails. Otherwise we loved the hotel, and the delicious breakfast of fresh fruits, eggs (try Lao style omelette with veg) croissants and French baguette with local tamarind jam etc.

Maydou was very lovely. Great all around with terrific service and breakfast and coffee that I enjoyed greatly! The pool was also a great perk.

Ideal location close to bus stations and airport, short walks to night markets, restaurants, rivers, great staff and welcoming pool. 5 star breakfast with attentive staff.

住宅地の裏という感じの場所にある、素敵な宿でした。バイキング形式の朝食は悩む程に種類は無いけど、どれも美味しい。
街の中心地から少し外れているけど、自転車を貸してくれるので問題なく行動できます。
ただ、wifiが繋がらない日があったのがちょっとだけ残念。（３泊中１泊だけ繋がらなかった）

Très bel hôtel, piscine agréable, très belles chambres. Un seul bémol, restaurant un peu cher par rapport au reste de la ville et hôtel un peu éloigné du centre-ville (20 min à pied environ) mais l'hôtel prête des vélos et le trajet en tuk tuk ne coûte que 2UsD.

This French country inn-style hotel is more rustic than luxurious, but it is well-located (about a 15-minute walk to the center of town), has beautiful grounds and very friendly and helpful staff.
It can be a bit hard to find the hotel – taxi drivers had no idea what to do because it is actually inside the walls of a wat. On one side, there is a narrow stone path from the road; on the other side, you come through Vat Meuna. Either way, a taxi can not drive right up to the door.
There are several different buildings. Our room was on the second floor of the main building where the reception is located, but only accessible by an outside stairway. The suite was divided into 3 parts: a large outer sitting area, which had a refrigerator and sofa and was open-air (no heat or A/C and no glass over the windows); a lovely bathroom with separate shower and bathtub (glass on the window, but no heat or A/C); and up a few steps, a small bedroom with only a bed, nightstands, a wardrobe and safe. The bedroom could be fully sealed off from the other rooms, and had a wall unit that provided heat and air conditioning. Since it was very cold and rainy during our visit, it meant we had to go through the cold sitting area to get from our warm bedroom into a cool bathroom. There was no TV or radio, but we did have Internet service.
I was surprised by how expensive everything was in Luang Prabang – hotels, food, taxis – but comparatively speaking, this seemed to be a reasonably good deal f

We stayed in villa maydou for three nights and really enjoyed it. The hotel itself is made up of beautiful buildings that feel sympathetic to their surroundings. The staff were friendly and attentive and we went on a couple of the activities that they offer which were both good fun. The pool and bar area were mine and chilled and although we weren't expecting to really use it, the swimming pool was great to cool off in towards the end of the day. As some other people mention, the hotel isn't in the main 'centre' of Luang Prabang but it was totally walkable and tuk tuks are super cheap if you're feeling lazy. My only minor grumble is that we could hear the people upstairs walking about a bit but I appreciate that this is down to the traditional nature of the buildings. It didn't really disturb us anyhow. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Nice little hotel with great staff. Everyone was very helpful. The breakfast wasn’t great, so I’d recommend going to a cafe in the nearby area. The pool is small but a great thing to have after sweating on a day trip

Location is not great. Far from night market , food outlets and river.
Next to the temple , I was woke up by drum in the morning. No fence and as the hotel is open compound, security is a concern in the day. At night, there is a guard outside the reception.
The web site said pick up from airport at 40,000 (approx US$4) per vihicle , but, it becomes US$10. Their explanation is different type of vehicles. I can accept it. But, web site is to be amended.

Bel hôtel de caractère avec de bonnes prestations. Personnel très sympathique. Espace piscine un peu petit par rapport au nombre de chambre. Cet hôtel est très propre et la décoration est soignée. on se sent dans un écrin de verdure.

Beautiful property and excellent service. Centrally located and a very good value. The only negative is that the Wifi is virtually nonexistent. If you need strong wifi for work or other things this is not the place for you. If you can handle being disconnected for a bit it is perfect. Beautiful, tranquil, and affordable

The gardens, pool and staff were fantastic! We had many run-ins with bugs in our room however and the wifi was dysfunctional. Would still highly recommend.

Friendly and helpful staff. Pool lovely, but deep if you bring kids. Bicycles great. Room would benefit from a fan alongside the air-con. The nesting birds (in the eaves) woke us rather early, but were also part of the charm of the buildings. Breakfast good but I'd have loved a croisant with it!

During the hot summer this was a great place to cool off! The staff was very helpful and welcoming. When I arrived early they were more than happy to let me into the room. The location was a little bit further from the main town, but when I stayed in the main town I was woken up by the markets and hustle around 5:30am. This area was certainly not as loud!

Everything was great except the restaurant. Terrible coffee and the free breakfast was low on choice and often ran out of essential dishes. Needs more staff to attend high load of people at breakfast.

We loved the feel of this small run hotel. Not too far from town, the hotel would call a Tuk Tuk for you. Was great as free bike hire.
The only thing is they don't have interconnecting rooms if you want 2 rooms for young kids.

Pleasant staff and very helpful woman manager who hails from France. Menu in the dining room was limited though adequate. Wifi in the room was erratic and often non-existent though available if one could tear oneself from the airconditioned room to sit in the office lobby. The heritage deluxe room was beautifully maintained and the pool was very clean.

Very old style Hotel. 한국식당인 김삿갓식당 바로 뒤에 있어서 매일 한국식당 이용에는 최고였지만 1936년도에 지어진 Heritage 로 지정된 건물이라서 분위기는 있었지만 발 디딜때 마다 바닥이 나무라서 많이 삐꺼덕 거려서 불편하고 신경이 많이 쓰임.같은 돈이라면 추천을 하고 싶지는 않아요

Das Team: supernett. Die Anlage: wundervoll gelegen und sehr gepflegt. Eigentlich alles super. Leider ist es in der Nacht recht laut und die Betten sind hart wie Beton - muss man mögen.

ホテル側にブッキングミスがあり、部屋が代わったが、バスタブなし、部屋に湿気があり、かび臭い、エアコンは調節不能、といいところなし。ホテル側から「申し訳ない」の言葉は最後まで聞かれなかった。朝食付きだが中身は貧しい。一見、その名の通りヴィラ風で、よさげに見えるが…。敷地は狭い。お値段以上ではない。周囲には何もない。何をするにもいちいち中心地まで行かなければならない。

A bit of walk to the town's main street, the property of several restored free standing buildings looked great, and our spacious room with a balcony overlooking the pool was nicely designed. Beyond the facade, however, everything else was quite mediocre. If more attention were paid to the operational details, this property could be much better.

We chose the boutique hotel villa Maydou based on comments posted here and elsewhere, but I was truly disappointed. First, we booked certain room with a Garden view with some features, including a TV and there was no TV on our room. When I asked about it, the receptionist only answered that “it has no tvs in the rooms facing the Garden”... But it was feature in the description of the room and in the confirmation booking. It’s not that I’m crazy about watching TV in Laos, but it annoyed me that they advertise some features in the room that they don’t have.
I declared my dissatisfaction and I expected that someone would talk to us in the next day, but no one did. The second morning when we were having our breakfast I notice one lady providing one French Family about the city (in french). When they finished she came to us, introduced herself (her name only) and said she was sorry not to be there when we arrived – end of story. I don’t really know who is she: the manager? The owner? Neither did she ask if we were satisfied or if there was something she could do for us or If we need some information or something... (comparing the attention the French guest had in front of us, she gave us no attention at all).. I didn’t feel very welcome.
The hotel is really far from the city center, as you have many many options better located. The breakfast is modest, although fresh.
Bottom line: I was very disappointed.
