Front desk was exceptionally helpful. Location is great, if you like walking- which we do! The neighborhood is quiet with grocery stores and cafes nearby. City center is ~15 minute walk, Amsterdam Centraal was ~30 minutes.
The hotel was clean and spacious for our family of 5. Now, the building is old, so, go in knowing that.
I saw some reviews that the building was dirty… not the case. It is old, carpet on the stairs is ripped in the hallway, there are scuffs on the wall. However, it is clean. There is a fridge, cups, new oven (which was spotless!)
Staff was so helpful. I do recommend this for a budget accommodation in a nice neighborhood.

We were switched to this property when our original hotel cancelled, a week before we were supposed to travel. This turned out to be a very positive change! This space was large, clean, bright and comfortable. I loved having a kitchen to make coffee and easy breakfasts. The Albert Heijn grocery store was a five minute walk away and was open til 10:00 for easy meal and snack options. I do wish there had been written instructions on how to work the stove and oven as the symbols were new to me and it took a bit of google searching. A few reviews have complained about the stairs, but this was completely normal for Amsterdam and really no big deal once we got our luggage up! We were walking distance to the shopping district, Artis (zoo) and many other attractions. The subway was also right there so easy to catch a train on days when we had done a little too much walking or it was raining. There was a small issue with shower drain no working properly when we arrived but someone came to check it out right away and while it wasn't fixed while we were there, they did bring us LOTS of extra towels to help with the overflow. The rooms with the double bed and the murphy bed were perfect. The room with the two twin beds was TINY and had no real windows so it got a little stuffy - something to keep in mind depending on who will be sleeping where. The thermostat was very responsive so it was easy to manage overall temperatures as the weather changed quite a bit during our week-long stay.

The apartment was much more spacious than expected & had all necessary amenities - the perfect communal space with private areas too. Everyone at reception was really welcoming & helpful. The location was great too - about a 15 min walk into the city centre so the apartment was peaceful & quiet at night. We stayed here in December and the apartment was warm & cosy even in the cold!

Zeer tevreden of studio, ziet er netjes uit. Lekker bed, alles wat je nodig heb is er.Rustige buurt, waardoor ik heerlijk sliep.

Fijne aangename mensen aan de check-in balie
(We werden "ge-upgrade" naar het penthouse wat natuurlijk super was)
Ruime leefruimte (open ruimte tot in de nok van het huis waar de originele balken zichtbaar zijn.
Hier en daar mankeerden wat kleine dingetjes. Bv het kraantje aan de lavabo van het wc stond helemaal los en er mankeerden wat stukken een paar deurklinken.
Mischien is het handig om bij de beschrijving aan te geven dat het penthouse op de 3de verdieping moeilijk toegankelijk is voor mensen die slecht te been zijn (60 zeer smalle treden tot in de leefruimte)
Ook zou het handig zijn om "instructies" ivm het afval te krijgen (waar kunnnen we glas/papier/enz achterlaten) en een extra vuilzak te hebben (1 vuilzak voor 5 dagen voor 5 personen is net wat te weinig)
Ook in de badkamer was er geen vuilbakje/zakje aanwezig.
Maar we komen hier zeker graag terug.

We stayed in an attic apartment in a lovely neighborhood close to the city center. The apartment was very clean and coffee, tea, sugar, and creamer was provided. The wifi was a bit spotty at times. There was some confusion about the check-in time as hotels.com said 2pm and the hotel said 3pm, but the staff was very apologetic about the mix up. Would definitely stay here again!

Property was great and very central/close to trams and metro. Only annoyance was having to climb 2 flights of stairs to our room.

Très beau duplex lumineux, en bon état, traversant calme et proche de toutes commodités.
Néanmoins il faut faire attention dans les escaliers qui sont très abruptes

Bad communication with Expedia, wrong room book at our arrival. Staff was able to get us a 2 bedrrom apartment.

Appartement très très bien placé au cœur d’Amsterdam. La ligne 14 du tram est à 150 mètres et vous emmène partout en ville (direct pour la gare centrale, le musée national, musée Van Gogh, etc…)

Nice spacious apartment with good bathroom and kitchen and separate toilet. Good supermarket 10 mins walk away. Area was peaceful and felt safe.

A lot of space, but a lot of stairs.

The property was in a great quiet location, easy walk to metro/tram. Cafe and Pizza restaurant at the end of the road. Nearest Spar about 10 mins walk.
Lots of stairs to 3rd floor! Very comfy beds and duvets. Kitchen had coffee/tea/sugar (no cafetiere).
As advertised and perfect for out 3 night stay.

Appartement très bien agencé refait à neuf. Cuisine bien équipée. Situé au cœur de l ancien quartier juif à proximité du jardin botanique. A 10 minutes à pied du musée Rambrandt et du supermarché.
Petit bémol la propreté. Sanitaire nickel mais sur la porte intérieur de la chambre des traces d une vieille soirée trop arrosée …

Nice, quiet and safe neighborhood. Radiator heaters were dirty. Overall, great place to stay. The sleeper couch was very comfortable, thick mattress.

This place is very unique and bigger than I anticipated. The one thing I wasn’t happy about was the shower drain, it was extremely slow draining, and when you have a group of guys who have been traveling all day it makes it a pretty big inconvenience. Thank being said it was a nice stay overall.

L’appartement était assez spacieux, tout était propre, seulement, la porte pour entrer dans les escaliers ne fonctionnait pas à notre arrivée et il s’est avéré qu’elle était en réalité cassée, ce qui a eu pour conséquence de laisser ouverte la porte en question tout le long du séjour. Mis à part cela, le séjour s’est bien passé.

Sentralt hotell i et rolig nabolag, med gangavstand til mye. Vi hadde god dialog med hotellet før innsjekking, og innsjekkingen gikk fint. Veldig bratte trapper som nevnt i andre anmeldelser, men dette gikk fint for vår del. Var et par småfeil ved leiligheten som bør rettes opp (dørhåndtaket på baderomsdøren datt bl.a. av flere ganger om dagen), og dette informerte vi hotellet om ved utsjekk. Også tidvis en del hasjlukt i selve leiligheten. Annet enn dette, så var vi veldig fornøyde med vårt opphold! Passer fint for en gjeng studenter på tur som vil oppleve byen, men samtidig ha mulighet til å trekke seg litt tilbake.

Veldig god beliggenhet på selve leiligheten, i et trygt og stille nabolag. En god del regler man må ta hensyn til i leiligheten, brudd på disse fører til at man mister dipositum. Ikke spesielt strenge regler, men anbefales ikke dersom man skal ha fest eller folk på besøk.
Får trekk for at innsjekk var ca 15 min å gå fra leiligheten, dette burde vært tydeligere.
Leiligheten var OK ren, merker i badekar og belegg på dusjhode. Bosspann luktet og blir bare tømt ukentlig.
Fornøyd med leiligheten, da det var billigere enn å bo på hotell nærmere sentrum.

Séjour agréable dans un quartier calme et verdoyant, a proximité du métro et a 15 minutes a pied du centre.Après de longues journées de marche nous avons apprécié le confort de la literie. S'il y avait des critiques à faire : il manquait peut être un peu de chauffage en fin de journée.

There was no mention of all the stairs in the property ! We had disabled people with us and every time we wanted to go out it was hectic. The property was not cleaned.. dust and dirt and a cup full of mould was under the sofa. Bed sheets wasnt washed from previous occupants and smelt abit fusty.

L’appartement était correct sans plus. Très petit. Cependant les lits étaient très confortables.
C’était extrêmement bruyant, il y avait une cour intérieure et les gens ne faisaient pas attention. Nous nous sommes fait réveiller un matin à 7:00 et les vers 5:30 am.

Les : appartement typique et spacieux, bien équipé, joli quartier.
Les - : très très très bruyant (aucune isolation phonique: bruits extérieurs et intérieurs), un peu loin du centre historique, clef à récuperer à 500 m.

Däremot var lägenheten inte fresh och det var oerhört lyhört från alla håll.

The flat was light and spacious and has been renovated recently. However it is in an old building which means that the phonic insulation is non existant. You can hear the doors from the other flats squeaking so if other guests are noisy during the night, you will hear them. In addition, the stairs are VERY steep and narrow. This is not suitable for anyone with mobility problems and would be very difficult to manage with a baby or small children to carry up. The hoover and mop left on the landing is not very appealing either.
