Hotel is under renovation so there is some noise near the pool area.

We absolutely loved our stay at The sanctuary.
We were upgraded to a suite and the room was perfect with traditional style wood throughout.
The breakfast was so good, a great choice and good coffee with lots to choose from.
The pool was a lovely place to cool off after a hot day sight seeing and I can recommend a visit to their spa for a massage and facial .
Lastly the staff are so tentative, kind and more than happy to help with anything you require.
We booked for 5 nights and could have stayed longer, we will book back in on our way through luang next week.

I had the pleasure of 8 nights here and an upgraded room also. My room was spacious, tasteful with comfy bed ad I had a generous shower and deep tub. I looked over onto the most stunning lily pond and palm gardens all kept beautifully by the ground staff. The pool was small, unheated, serene and clean. I swam every day. The breakfasts are full of fresh aswell as pastries, fruit with eggs and noodles cooked to order.
Overall, a very stylish, central to everything, little oasis where the Asian architecture is nestled in lush greenery, bicycles are plentiful to hire at no charge and staff are extremely polite and helpful. I really loved it here and would recommend it for a restful break, a family stay or a night or two.

The hotel is set in gardens and pond. The room we had - upgraded - was spacious and clean with all amenities provided and was next to the swimming pool. The breakfast building is positioned next to the pond and extends over it. The staff there were friendly and helpful. Reception staff were all incredibly polite and assisted with suggestions for our walks around town. We really did enjoy our stay and would definitely come again.

Due to an admin error on my part we arrived a day earlier than expected, the staff were very helpful and managed to get us into our rooms without any fuss. The hotel is beautiful, centrally located and the staff are very helpful. We had massages in the spa on a couple of days and again the staff were excellent. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Great location you can walk to the Night Market and central area. Excellent reception service. Speak English well. Room was cleaned daily. Breakfast was quality. Eggs to your liking. Speciality breads. Beautifully landscaped gardens create a relaxing ambience. Aircon & Sat tv worked well.

Hotel was extremely clean, the staff was so nice and helpful, they have bike for free that let you discover the city at your own pace. The rooms are spacious and the decoration is beautiful.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Sanctuary hotel. Centrally located and easy walking distance to most of the quarter restaurants and downtown sites. The Viewpt is a little more of a walk. Room was smallish but liked the balcony which was nice for hanging out. Pool area was clean and enjoyable. Breakfast and staff response was outstanding. They fumigate your room in the evenings from what i can tell (ultimately your choice but you need to tell them if you dont want it)....never had a mosquito prob whatsoever but i could see how you could if you left your balcony doors open for an extra length of time. Price paid for having such beautiful grounds and pond area. Would most definitely stay here again!!

The property is only a few minutes walk to everywhere you would like to go as in river old town cafes etc.

We originally only planned to stay for 3 nights but extended an additional 3 nights as were so relaxed and enjoyed our stay.
The staff, although English not always up to scratch, can't do enough to help and followed up quickly when we had queries. We booked a tour and had a private car and driver from the hotel who looked after us at beautiful waterfalls, bear sanctuary and butterfly farm.
We spent several sessions by the pool which is clean and luxurious sun loungers with service from the bar at the ring of a bell... literally! Breakfast, which was included, was a la carte and very tasty. We had a Laotian tasting platter and dinner one evening too, which were high quality but much more expensive than the great food you can get just round the corner in the main area of restaurants and bars.
The hotel is a short walk from several temples including the national museum and royal palace. Make sure you walk to the top of Phousi Hill at sunset; breathtaking views.
We would definitely stay again and have, in fact, booked at their sister hotel in Pak Beng as part of the 2 day boat tour to the Thai border the hotel helped us book.

Hotel Sanctuary was amazing! Their friendly staff, perfect location, affordable price and overall gentle vibe was very much appreciated. I would recommend to all and would definitely stay again!

Für ein 3 Sterne Hotel absolut hervorragend. Von der Zahnbürste bis zum Regenschirm gibt es alles auf dem Zimmer. Tolle Lage alles zu Fuß erreichbar. Wunderschöne Anlage mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Frühstück für Asien auch absolut OK. Fazit jederzeit wieder.

The hotel was beautiful. The service was wonderful. Everyone was very helpful and accommodating when booking tours and buses and taxis. The breakfast was amazing. The restaurant staff were wonderful. The grounds of the hotel are classy and beautiful beautiful. The rooms themselves are very clean, large and comfortable. The hotel itself is about four blocks from the night market. Literally a five minute walk to everything. Right around the corner from Utopia. I would recommend this hotel. I would stay here again no questions asked.

Proche du centre, tout se fait à pieds.
Hôtel calme, très bon restaurant. En fait, une oasis. Bungalows disposés autour d’une pièce d’eau.
J’y reviendrais.

Good location slightly out of the busy centre of Luang Prabang. Rooms at the back live up to the name "Sanctuary" surrounding the lotus pond. Recommend an upstairs room for less mosquitos. Rooms very spacious, comfortable, hot water with good water pressure, and firm mattresses with good quality linen. Highly recommended.

들어가자마자 이쁘다~란 소리가 나오는 호텔로
지내는 내내 관리를 잘한다는 느낌이 듬.
조식도 맛나고 직원들도 친철함.
한가지 아쉬운점은 화장대가 없어서
화장실에서 거울을 봐야한다는점 정도?
두블럭만 걸으면 메인도로가 나오고
바로 뒤에 마트가 있어 편했음!
그런데 우리나라에서 유명한 가게들은
걸어서 15~20분쯤 걸어서가야함~
그래도 다시 루앙온다면 여기서 묵고싶음!!

Check in is prompt. We opted for the ground floor room due to both of us in the 80s but there were lots mosquitos as soon as we enter the room. The reception very efficiently changed our room to the next level which was very good. They even provided us with the spray. Room is spacious with view of the pond. Location is very convenient. Highly recommended.

The gardens and restaurant were in a lovely setting. The rooms all opened up onto the gardens. Rooms were slightly old style. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Das Sanctuary Hotel liegt unweit der Hauptstraße mit den meisten Cafes, Restaurants und Sehenswürdigkeiten ohne an den Trubel dort anzuschließen. Durch das Haupthaus mit Rezeption kommt an in eine wörtliche Oase der Ruhe: den Teich, die Gartenanlage und Sitzgelegenheiten, umgeben von den Nebenhäusern mit jeweils 4(?) Zimmern im ersten Stock (mit Balkon) und ebenerdig (mit kleiner Terrasse). Gegenüber liegt das Restaurant mit Frühstücksbuffet sowie Sitzplätzen drinnen und draußen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, die Anlage sehr gepflegt und sauber. Im ehrwürdigen Kolonialstil, meines Wissens unter Denkmalschutzauflagen renoviert und in modernem Zustand.

Nice rooms, lovely central courtyard (all rooms look out over the courtyard and the pond). The staff are really helpful, and there is a good selection of food in the restaurant.

We were picked up at the airport on time and warmly greeted at the hotel and even though we had a late night check in we were given a nice dinner. We requested two beds and had two single beds fairly comfortable. Wonderful staff!

Extremely comfortable stay for Christmas. Rooms were to a high standard and bed was very comfortable. Staff did more than enough to accommodate requests and were proactive in turning down the rooms, offering mosquito spray and even providing a little Xmas gift which was sweet and unexpected. Breakfast and restaurant are to a good quality and spa treatments are worth it. Overall really good stay.

Sanctuary is the perfect name for this hotel. It is close to the hustle and bustle of the night market but is quiet and resort like inside. Though the room was on the small side - as was the relative price for what you get - it was very comfy. Unfortunately, I came down with a bad cold and spent way too much time there. The staff was so accommodating and understanding, it actually felt quite homey. The outdoor breakfast buffet was nice with outstanding coffee. Though the selections are pretty limited, the restaurant has good food. All in all it really was a sanctuary.

I have stayed at the Sanctuary before as I live in Laos and occasionally go to LP to work. This hotel really is a sanctuary from the madness and maelstrom of the tourist crowd. its elegant spacious and luxurious in its wonderful gardens and the generosity of the staff. Its nightly under the stars showings of Chang (Thai for elephant) shows Laos as it was .. in comparison to the mad commercial jangle of the now. Th rooms are spacious and comfortable. It would be nice if they had a pool but well.. its great anyway. The breakfast on the deck overhanging the pondis a great way to strat the day.. but a bottle of wine in town and enjoy the sunset from the verandah,.

Ein wirkliches tolles Hotel mit einmaliger Lage. Direkt am Night market. Das Hotel wird von einem sehr sehr tollen Franzosen geführt.
Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich!

직원친절도,객실 깨끗함 모든 면에서 편안한 숙박을 하였습니다.
여행자 거리와 도보로 5분 정도 걸립니다 랜드마크가 되는 조마베이커리와도 가까운 거리 입니다.

호텔직원분들도 너무 친절하시고, 객실테라스에서 보이는 호텔내부 정원도 작지만 아름답고, 레스토랑 음식도 맛있었고 모든게 좋았네요. 다만 한가지 흠은 객실 청소가 전체적으로 잘 되어있지만 구석구석 세밀하지는 않아보였네요.

무엇보다 호텔이 정말 쾌적하고 깨끗했습니다.

모든것이 좋지만 다른호텔과는달리 무료픽업서비스나 자전거대여가 없는게 아쉬웠어요

호텔 건물과 정원이 너무 깔끔하고 예뻤고, 객실 상태나 청결도 또한 좋았습니다. 직원들도 친절한 편이였고, 머무는 동안 특별히 불편한 점을 못느꼈습니다.
위치가 중심지에선 약간 떨어진 편이였지만, 루앙프라방 도시 자체가 작은 편이라서 크게 불편함을 느끼지 못하였고 오히려 한적하고 조용한게 더 좋게 느껴졌습니다. 다른 숙소에 비해 가격이 약간 높은편으로 알고 있는데, 그만한 값어치를 하는 곳인 것 같아서 다음에 또 가게된다면 여기서 묵고 싶습니다. 조식도 맛있으니 웬만하면 드시길 추천합니다.!!
