room was clean as always. they put the heating on in the room so it was lovely and warm when i arrived on a very cold day. very nice touch!!

Very friendly staff and was able to assist us when Expida messed up. The staff was amazing and would definitely stay there again if I was to go back. 20 minute walk to the Heineken experience and the Van Gogh Museum.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. Les studios sont propres et l’emplacement est très bien pour visiter Amsterdam. L’accueil très bien. Bien penser à avoir son QR avant l’arrivée.

We stayed at De Jonker for a long weekend just gone. We were very sceptical about staying here to be honest, after reading quite a few negative reviews. All I can say is our experience was totally different. We had a last minute room change via email, so I think potentially our room was a deluxe suite. We found the room to be clean, comfortable and with everything we needed. The bathroom and shower was lovely, we had a little rail for our clothes, clean bedding and towels, and complimentary toiletries and use of an ironing board and iron downstairs. The location was great for us, the number 14 tram takes 7 minutes, if that, to get into the centre, and the tram stops literally across the road outside of the hotel. A few doors down from De Jonker is an amazing breakfast place called Box Sociaal, we went twice and would highly recommend. We had absolutely NO issues with the QR code our whole trip, I’m not sure if they have changed the system since previous reviews or if people just weren’t perhaps scanning it with their screen brightness turned up enough or at the right angle, but not once did we struggle to enter the property with ours.
All in all we had a very comfortable, peaceful and enjoyable stay at De Jonker and based off of our experience, would definitely return.

Property is lovely and in a nice area. The first room we had included stairs which wouldn't work for my partner, but they happily changed rooms for us. Only real issue was the poor Wi-Fi strength, something that had come up before in these old European hotels.

Deuxieme sejour en moins de 6 semaines tellement j ai adoré cet hôtel.
Le studio etait parfait , tres bien agencé, propre , lumineux.
Les deux petits bémols que j ai rencontré : la television ne marchait pas mais je ne l ai signalé qu a la fin de mon sejour car , il y a le wifi et le qr code que je n ai pas recu dans les temps mais en un coup de fil c etait réglé.
L hotel reste parfaitement situé et le personnel est vraiment sympa.

Séjour très agréable, facile , confortable.
Alors oui , si on rentre dans les détails l appartement nécessite un coup de shampoinnage de moquette et un coup de peinture mais ces détails sont minimes au vu du confort que l appartement offre.
La salle de bain est propre, les peignoirs, serviettes sont propres.
Les draps sont propres et les lits confortables.
La cuisine est équipée parfaitement pour des séjours de courtes a moyennes durées.
L accès au centre ville est rapide en transport ( 10 min max jusqu a la centrale station sans changer de tram )
Les restaurants a proximité sont abordables.

Great property, and use the #14 Tram as it gets you to/from the centre and Main station in 10 mins. You will want to get off at "Artis" for the hotel suite. The rooms are a bit tired but clean, and you cannot fault the support and location, etc ... I Loved our family time there

Amazing 2 floor suite, kitchen, heated floors in the bathroom, comfortable bedding, lots of towels and robes provided, museums and centraal station are all within 30 minutes of walking, gorcery store around the corner and coffee shops all around you. The only things I’d knock are the wifi cutting out in the downstairs bedroom whoch caused all my international data to be used while I was asleep, the carpets could use a shampoo’ing, and the QR system is a little picky when it wants to work but they were awesome and answered the phone every time. But overall a great and luxurious feel at an amazing price! Would recommend and definitely come back!

Excelente el cuarto familiar para 2 adultos y 2 niños, con 2 habitaciones una en piso alto, otra en baño. 2 baños completos, cocina y un pequeño comedor. Frente al zoológico y a solo 2 cuadras del museo holandés de la resistencia y el museo judío. Buenos lugares para desayunar y cenar.

The rooms were very comfortable, and good use of space. Also have all the amenities you would need from An apartment. Location is great. Only downside, WiFi in room 10 at the bottom room does not work and there is no reception.

Really good value for a two bedroom suite in an excellent location by Artis Zoo. Rooms were cosy and comfortable with a small kitchenette and sitting area. Would stay again!

Chambre grande et belle mais équipement défaillants : problème de lumière dans la salle de bain un fauteuille était cassé sur une patte, la machine a café a posé quelques problèmes également. Un lieu agréable sinon n'y regarde pas trop aux détails

Fantastisk lokation.
Vi blev taget u mod af en rigtig rar ung mand, som lukkede os ind på værelset allerede 14.30.
Skønt med et lille tekøkken, dog var remedierne meget sparsomme - der var kun en pande, til at lave lidt mad på. Vi spurgte efter en gryde, men fik den aldrig.
Vores lagen, både før og efter rengøring, havde nogle små mørke pletter.
Skønne omgivelser, nemt med QR-kode til adgang, ingen støj fra hverken gade eller andre hotelbesøgende. Tram dejligt tæt på.

Really comfy beds. The apartment was spacious. It was in a nice area and easy to get the bus into central Amsterdam. Also easy to walk into the centre. The staff I met was very nice. On the down side, the kitchen was poorly equipped, with very sparse crockery and pans etc… The bathroom could also have been better equipped with soap etc..

The hotel is in a great location and very comfortable. Lovely spacious room and mostly good facilities. The kitchen area could be better equipped with enough cutlery for 2 guests would be useful.
The hotel is slow to respond to enquiries but overall a great stay. Thank you.

Booked in for 2 nights with 2 adults and 2 kids. The room was very spacious and we were at the back of the property. The room was clean and tidy but we did need extra bedding for the sofa bed for our eldest. The kitchen had the basics and a few coffee pods and tea bags were nice.
Overall, it was a good stay. The QR code to get in was a bit of a faff, we needed to phone the hotel and pay the local taxes on a link before the QR was sent. once we had it, the system worked well.
A nice spot opposite the zoo and very close to a couple of tram stops.

Managers on duty, Alexandra at first then Finn, both excellent. We had an issue with TV not working, sorted quickly by moving us to another room.
A bit more detail on cleaning would be a good thing, showed issues to Alexandra. Overall a very happy stay

Overall, a very good stay. Amazing historic space with modern fit-out and amenities. Great location with a tram stop and line to key locations and central station very close by. Apartment was a little worn from use and some additional chairs for lounging and dining for 4 people would have been useful.

Chose this hotel as a 2 room suite while traveling with my wife & mom. It was completely acceptable if a little quirky. odd room layout and stairs in odd places (getting to the bathroom in the middle of the night was ok, but down a long haul and up stairs). Staff was skeleton, but we knew this going in. Not unhappy with value for the money. Just be aware of the quirks going in.

A good location, close to the central train station, but also various tourist attractions. The unit we had could have used a re-carpeting, the floor was not the cleanest. Also, the bathroom sink was stuffed and, despite my best efforts to explain they need to use a plunger, the sink continued to be stuffed the whole time we were there. Otherwise the hosts were friendly and tried to provide things like towels and take the trash out. With some little improvements here and there, this can be a really good place to stay while in Amsterdam.

Great trip with a good set up for four people but the cleanliness is the main thing that lets it down. Lots of cobwebs that are easily reachable, dead flies on the windowsill and greasy marks on the wall, stained toilet and shower smelt like wet dog.
It’s in a great location with lots of wonderful restaurants close by, tram stop very close but in a quiet area.
Staff are super helpful.

This property was located in a very nice neighbourhood with the Artis tram stop less than a block away. The Zoo was just across the street from the hotel. It was an easy walk to a grocery store and the inner city. The Museum District was a longer walk away.
The suite was worn out. The carpets looked awful (dirty, cigarette burns) so we were fortunate to have our slippers with us. The dark painted walls were chipped throughout the suite contributing to the worn look.
The bathroom was upgraded, the bed reasonably comfortable and the sheets were clean. The kitchen was small and minimally equipped but did the job.
The staff were excellent. They were always friendly and were responsive to our requests.

Host was very informative and friendly with great recommendations. Rooms were good, clean. Only problem was you could smell smoke in the hallway and just outside our door.

Very sophisticated high tech hotel. Constant emails during my trip and just keeping up was a hassle. QR code to get in wasted a lot of time answering emails taking away. From my pleasure trip. Room was very nice although a bit dark in the hallway of the room. If your not into technology and having international cell phone service, this is not the place for you.
