Booked because of the swimming pool, this full service apartment hotel, though based on and following the international standard, has a very Chinese flair.
You may not see other foreigners residing.
Guests are mainly Overseas Chinese.
The abundant breakfast, all self-prepared by the kitchen crew, is local with the elements of fruits and salads, toast and egg and allows an unabridged discovery of Chinese breakfast culture.
What makes service so outstanding:
Evennif you are way too late for breakfast time, nobody sends you away. On the contrary, you shall be served by what still is available with a welcoming smile and comment.
You may even enjoy a pleasent conversation.
The similar applies to the swimming pool, even if its just 10 minutes and the crew is about to clean and close, you will be welcomed to draw some rounds.

One of the best hotels I stayed at. The hotel needs a bit of renovation. Other than that it’s perfect from location and easy mall access from the hotel lobby great staff very friendly and helpful. All what you need you can find it in the room from iron , hair dryer, fully equipped kitchen and more. Definitely it’s the place to stay at if you are visiting Changsha.

The rooms at this hotel were spacious and felt like a true home away from home. They were well-equipped, featuring a kitchen and a laundromat that was easy to use—great for longer stays or if you just need to freshen up your clothes. The views from the room were also fantastic, adding an extra touch to the experience. The staff were consistently friendly, professional, and attentive, making sure everything was taken care of. Overall, I was very impressed with the room and amenities, and it contributed to a very comfortable stay.

This being my first time in China, this hotel and stay was absolutely incredible top to bottom. Nice clean facility and rooms, convenient shopping stores around, easily accessible for ridesharing and walking distances and plenty of accommodations for guests. Room service was always so courteous and provided nice clean rooms and sheets and towels from returning from the day. Nothjng but good things to say and would absolutely stay again asap!

地理位置：步行几分钟就有地铁6号线直达机场。医院林立，做核酸很方便。楼下是购物中心，还有一个华润万家，买点饮料冷饮放冰箱很方便。
服务：入住时告知卫生还没有完成，帮我免费升级了房型，客厅很大，卧室床脚对着湘江，感觉棒棒的！客房服务员只要不把打扫房间的牌子挂出去，绝对不会敲门打扰的。

I had a wonderful stay. The hotel is centrally located and it's very convenient to get around. The room was perfect and comfortable. Exactly what I was looking for. The manager Emma went over the top to accommodate me with everything I needed. She even arranged a special Christmas surprise in my room, as she knew I was spending Christmas alone. It really meant a lot. Also, I had left my power bank in the hotel room and Emma personally mailed it to me in Shenzhen! Top notch service. I definitely recommend Modena and will definitely return next time I go to Changsha. 10/10!

아침 조식이 매번 달라서 좋았다.
방은 작았지만 1인이 머물기에 충분함
가격대비 매우 훌륭함.
다른 호텔에서는 영어가 잘 안 통했는데, 이곳에 직원은 모두 어느 정도 영어가 가능하다.

Das Modena Hotel liegt zentral, aber nicht in der Nähe der interessanten Sehenswürdigkeiten Changshas, zu denen man teilweise sehr weite U-Bahn- oder Taxi-Fahrten unternehmen muss. Das Hotel ist nach der Ankunft zunächst etwas schwierig zu finden, weil es entweder aus dem Untergeschoss oder dem 5. Stock eines angrenzenden Einkaufszentrums betreten werden kann. Das Hotel ist nicht das neueste und relativ wenig Charme, die Zimmer sind recht geräumig und sauber, das gilt auch für das Bad. Das Personal ist freundlich. Das Frühstück wird im obersten Stock angeboten und bietet einen großartigen Blick über die Stadt, ist aber überwiegend chinesisch und bietet wenig westliches Essen. Der Pool war eine große Enttäuschung, weil er zwar groß ist, allerdings dient er als Schwimmschule für auswärtige Gäste, insbesondere Kinder und bietet sich für die Hotelgäste nur außerhalb der Öffnungszeiten der Schwimmschule zur Nutzung an.

The room itself was fine -- spacious, quiet, and clean, with a kitchenette that included a small cooktop. The breakfast buffet was just OK. I was given a smoking room, even though I booked a nonsmoking room, but this wasn't a big problem as there was no strong cigarette smell.

总体不错，大堂在B1，不太方便，房间灯光太暗，不舒服。其他都好

처음에 입구가 찾기 힘들었던 점을 빼곤 아파트식이라 거실도 넓고 침실도 만족할만한 수준이고 수영장과 헬쓰장은 매우 좋았음. 단 조식이 나쁘지는 않았지만 서양식 종류가 조금 적고 빵류도 먹을만한 것이 적었음.

Next to shopping mall of some sort but a guide to shopping mall entrances, exits and facilities would be eelcome.

It is located next to a mall but the nearest subway is 900 meters away. The room is showing its age but still well maintained. Dining options are plentiful and good variety of breakfast items with a great view. Recommended if you don’t mind the lack of accessibility to the subway.

Room was great, spacious. Location of hotel was good too. Lack of information about places to visit and staff were not very forthcoming in helping find taxis, etc. which would be difficult if residents don't have a taxi app already. A few drivers did not recognise the real entrance of the hotel. Breakfast was terrible! Not a good selection of food - the quality of food was below standard for Chinese cuisine, also no management of space and seats which gets chaotic when it is crowded. The space is crowded and the food gets ruined quickly.

Would not recommend. The front desk lady was nice checking us in, but I was not happy with the hotel environment itself. We were given a non-smoking floor, however I was still able to smell smoke in my room and I saw cigarettes by the elevator. What’s the point of a non-smoking floor if it’s not being enforced and people smoke anyways? I heard wind howls all night which is crazy to me because I’ve never stayed at a hotel where I’m able to hear wind blowing every 5 seconds. Booked for 4 nights but ended up checking out after one night and booked a different hotel. If you’re sensitive to noise and hates the smell of cigarettes like me, please think twice before booking.

The reception staff continuously hung up on me as I had trouble finding the hotel. I was stuck outside the mall calling them for over 2 hours in the cold. I also had to ask them more than 10 times (not exaggerating) for the address for the Uber to pick me up. I missed and was charged for 2 Ubers as the address was incorrect. Terrible customer service. The same receptionist sat in the gym and watched me working out the whole time, was weird.
