Really helpful staff. The local taxis were very unreliable so staff helped massively with getting us around the area.

Warm Friendly Staff, Very Tasty Food , great Picturesque Setting. Breakfast delivered to your balcony including other meals if you choose. Ala in all, we had a very relaxing time here. There is also free shuttle service to the city (pick up and drop off)

Als erste muss ich mal den Gärtner hervorheben. So eine Oase in Schuss zu halten. Unser voller Respekt. Ebenso das Personal, egal in welcher Position. Immer absolut zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Essen kann man überall im Thongbay. Auf der Terrasse, mitten im Garten oder im Restaurant. Die Preise sind sehr gut und in keiner Weise überteuert. Es gibt einen Safe an der Rezeption und auch TukTuk, Roller oder Bahnkarten können hier gebucht werden. Toll ist auch der x-fache kostenlose Shuttle in die Stadt und wieder zurück. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Flußblick. Sehr schönes großes Zimmer und der Balkon ist komplett vor neugierigen Blicken geschützt. Kommt hierher und es fehlt Euch an nichts. Wir werden es tun.

Vi valde 10 nätter på Thongbay pga av läget. Lite utanför city, men med gratis shuttle flera ggr/dag.
När vi kom dit blev vi överraskade av den personliga service som gavs.
Stället har inkluderad frukost i 4 olika varianter, men dessa kan ändras om man har speciella behov.
De serverar din frukost (likaså lunch/middag om så önskas) vart du vill på området, vid poolen, floden, restaurangen, på rummet eller vid den centrala vackra dammen.
Missa inte att några kvällar stanna kvar på boendet och ät middag på plats
Vår bungalow var stor och rymlig med en stor dubbelsäng + enkelsäng. Rent och snyggt med nya lakan och handdukar varje dag.
A/C, fläkt och myggnät på rummet och fönstren.
Kallt vatten hämtas obegränsat i receptionen
Mr T tar hand om alla frågor, men även resterande personal är mycket vänliga och hjälpsamma.
När vi åker tillbaks blir det självklart Thongbay Guesthouse igen

Séjour de 3 nuits dans cette superbe guesthouse, au calme, à 15 minutes à pied du centre ville ou 5 minutes en minibus mis à disposition à certains horaires. Le petit déjeuner avec vue sur le fleuve, le jardin luxuriant, la sympathie des gîtes, tout était parfait

Breakfast fresh every morning with great choices, served on your balcony overlooking river. All staff very friendly, went beyond expectations, from our welcome, booking tuc tucs and helping us book a private transfer when the provided transport never turned up. What a fantastic place. Highly recommended.

L’accueil a été exceptionnel. Le personnel est très agréable. Efficaces et prévenant. La navette gratuite plusieurs fois par jour pour aller en ville. C’est un petit paradis vert. Très calme.

The service is superb. The entire staff is friendly and super helpful. For example, even though our flight arrived late and after the kitchen closed, they still brought us some food. And who can complain about having breakfast on your deck overlooking the river. The rooms are comfortable. The bathrooms are basic (e.g. only cold water in the sink) but completely functional. We highly recommend this place.

The service there was more than amazing, everyone was nice and they did everything to please us! Plus they provide free shuttle to go center town, the breakfast is great and generous, the decorations were beautiful, the pool was very clean and large enough to swim. I strongly recommand this hotel! Only downside: pillows were a little firm to my taste.

Beautiful property had a Riverview balcony cottage. Breakfast brought to the room wonderful experience, refillable water bottles. Staff very helpful. Make sure to rent a scooter through them. It’s a great deal. Good shuttle service in an out of town.

Magnifique guesthouse où tout est pensé pour que votre séjour soit le plus agréable possible. Les bungalows se trouvent dans un cadre enchanteur au milieu d’un jardin entretenu avec soin. Le personnel est très prévenant et toujours là pour vous rendre service (navette gratuite pour vous conduire en centre ville ou à l’aéroport, lessive incluse, serviettes si vous allez vous baigner à la cascade Kuang si etc). Je ne peux que recommander cette adresse et si je dois retourner à Luang Prabang je n’irai pas voir ailleurs.

We stayed for 5 nights in a riverside bungalow which was peaceful and relaxing. It was slightly away from the noise of town but easily within walking distance. We also cycled on free bikes and there is a shuttle bus in and out of town. The owner and staff were excellent and friendly and helped us organise trips andd transfers. Breakfast was great and we had a lovely stay, thank you

Personnel vraiment sympathique et arrangeant. Toujours prêt à aider. Nous avons eu la chambre avec vue sur le Mékong, et nous avons adoré. Très belle vue !

Zwar etwas außerhalb, gibt aber einen Shuttle, auch Fahrräder und zum laufen geht es auch.

This guesthouse shines on service. Airport transfer and pickup were a breeze. They take the time to nicely greet you and check you in, giving you all the details. Daily shuttle in and out of main area of town is great. The pool was well kept and quiet (though, like so many in south east Asia, very cold). We had a river view bungalow. It was mostly clean, as much so as wooden rooms like these with gaps in the wall can be. But they provide mosquito nets. No TV. Breakfast is good and plenty with various options. If you want a break, feel free to use their kitchen (cashew chicken gets two thumbs up and yellow curry was good too). It is fresh and on probably better for the price than anything you will get a food stall in town for same cost. Dinner for three was about $12 USD. They do not advertise it, but they were glad to use their daily shuttle to drop us at our next guesthouse in Luang Prabang. I found I had forgotten my Nalgene water bottle in the mini fridge and called them to ask about it, and they brought it on the shuttle so I could pick it up that evening when they dropped hotel guests in the city. That was HIGHLY appreciated. They provide one bottle of drinking water per guest, and have a drinking water refill station.
The beds were ok - not great but not the worst in SEA. We had a triple room, a king bed and two singles. The singles were incredibly soft to the point it felt like you might roll off and the king was a bit too hard. Goldilocks again :) Thanks Thonbay!

L'hôtel n'est pas dans le centre de luang prabang mais il y a plusieurs navettes par jour.
Bungalow en bois avec terrasse et vue sur la rivière pour nous.
Petit déjeuner au choix servi sur la terrasse de notre bungalow.

This is an incredible place to stay. We loved every minute of our river view balcony, especially having breakfast there. The staff are amazingly friendly and attentive and couldn't be more welcoming.

Our stay couldn't have been better. The team at Thongbay are so friendly and helpful, breakfast was lovely, the shuttle and other services run very smoothly. The cabin is peaceful with great aircon and facilities. We loved it!

Extremely welcoming staff, service was top notch. Free shuttle to/from city center was very convenient. Really comfortable room, enjoyed the river view. So green in the gardens! Really felt like we were staying in nature.

Belle et grande chambre avec une vue sur Nan Khan et au calme. Le petit déjeuner est très bon et la vue magnifique. Le personnel est aux petits soins pour vous faciliter votre séjour.
La piscine permet de se détendre après les journées de visites.
Les navettes du centre ville facilitent les déplacements mais autrement il faut compter 20' à pied.

The accommodations are simple native style cottages, but they were clean and comfortable. The staff and the management were extremely helpful and accommodating. The manager, T, was wonderful, always providing helpful suggestions and helping to arrange transportation to local venues. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would love to go back.

We loved our stay at Thongbay. Mr. T & all the staff always provided excellent service & were very helpful. Meals are delivered to your bungalow (or elsewhere if you choose) & the food is delicious. The breakfast was great. The shuttle to & from downtown is very convenient & runs on schedule. The grounds are lovely. The bungalows are spacious. The floorboards do creak some but that didn’t affect our enjoyment.

Dit is een stukje paradijs in Luang Prabang. Enkel positieve dingen over te zeggen. We werden met evenveel hartelijkheid ontvangen als uitgezwaaid. Wat een fijne en behulpzame service.

We really liked our stay at Thongbay Guesthouse which offers great value for money. The bungalows are nicely arranged in a beautiful, lush tropical garden and have everything you need. Breakfast is served on your own private balcony and guests can also have dinner, which is very decent. The staff and management are impeccably nice and helpful with every question their guest might have.
The only downturn we experienced was the temple festival and a wedding nearby with extremely loud music / prayers / Chorals and or karaoke. That has cost us 2 nights of proper rest. Make sure to bring earplugs!
Anyway: we fully recommend the place !

Thongbay is a very beautiful and cosy place in Luang Prabang. We enjoyed everything about it; the view from our terrasse, the garden, getting breakfast served on your own balcony and most of all the smiling service from everybody at the guest house.
Please notice, that Thongbay is outside Luang Prabang city center. They do have shuttle service and it's easy to go back and forth, but if you prefer the convenience of staying in the center of town, You have to choose otherwise.
Only one little downside; the beds were too hard for our taste. We didn't sleep that well.

Notre séjour au Thongbay hôtel a été formidable. Tout était parfait malgré quelques incompréhensions sur les activités. Points posiitifs : accueil chaleureux, cadre superbe, petits déjeuners copieux sur la terrasse de la chambre 😃, piscine et services impeccables avec même des navettes pluviers fois par jour pour rejoindre le centre de Luang Prabang et managers toujours de bonne humeur.
Point négatif : triste de partir...

Uitstekend hotel. Enorm vriendelijk en hulpvaardig personeel, charmante huisjes in een weelderig groene tuin. Uitgebreid ontbijt, fijn zwembad. Rustige locatie, al komt er dagelijks zo'n vijf keer een vliegtuig laag over van of naar het vliergveld. De gordijnen hadden wel wat meer verduisterd mogen zijn.

This property is made up of detached wooden bungalows with
Verandahs. The staff are excellent and breakfast is served on your own verandah each morning. They have bicycles and motorcycles for hire if you want to explore the local area or you can relax by the pool. The staff could not do enough for you and I would highly recommend Thongbay to anyone visiting Luang Prabang. 10 out of 10!

近くからカラオケの騒音が聞こえて来て気になりましたが、寝る頃にピタッと静かになりました。市街地から少し離れていて近くにレストランが無い以外はとても素晴らしい施設でした。

Gloriously verdant. An oasis of nature with views across the river. The individual 'bubgalows' are well sized, with a verandah. A hearty and generous breakfast arrived to my table, at the appointed hour. This is a place for a writer on a mission. Perfectly appointed to stay focussed. There is a large pool too. And really convenient transportation regularly throughout the day to reach 'town' in 7 or 8 minutes.
