L'hotel è molto comodo per visitare Basilea e altre città facilmente raggiungibili grazie ai mezzi pubblici. La stazione ferroviaria, la fermata dell' autobus per/dall' aeroporto e i tram sono praticamente fuori dall' entrata dell' hotel. L'hotel all' inizio sembra un labirinto ma dopo un po' ci si abitua ed è tutto semplice. La camera era grande e pulita dotata di tutti i confort con una doccia favolosa. Ho fatto notare un piccolo problema alla reception che l'ha risolto in pochi minuti. La colazione è buona anche se sarebbe preferibile aggiungere qualche dolce in più. Macchinetta per caffè e tisane in camera. Ovviamente è un hotel che mi sento di consigliare.

Llegué al hotel con ayuda de Google Maps, pero ese mapa te deja en una de las entradas, una en la que no tienes acceso hasta que no haces el Check in. Y lo que no te dicen es que son 3 hoteles en 1, con muchas formas de entrar. Estuve 10 min en esa puerta, el personal del interfon fue MUY grosero, nadie me contestaba hasta que una persona del restaurante de junto salió a decirme dónde estaba la otra entrada. Ese fue mi único inconveniente. Fuera de ahí todo fue muy sencillo, la chica dw la recepcion fue muy amable, me hiciedon un upgrade, la habitacion eataba muy grande y cómoda. Al ser 3 hoteles en 1 la forma de llegar a la habitacion es enredosa pero nada del otro mundo. El desayuno sencillo pero bueno. En general sí lo recomiendo, solo cambien a quien atiende el interfon.

Some rooms only have partial lift access, so you may need to manually carry your luggage up a flight of stairs or so - but it’s a great, economical base in Basel that’s totally worth the effort. The room is pop-modern, simple but clean and highly functional layout, with a comfortable pillow and duvet and thoughtful amenities that make you feel well looked after without excess. The staff are very professional and friendly, assisting with check-in, and self-checkout is available via the email notification you receive. I’d be very happy to book again.

Très bon emplacement, à quelques minutes de la gare et en face des tramways. Le Marktplatz est à distance de marche, le Zoo aussi, beaucoup d'activités autour.

Hotel extremely convenient for the main Swiss railway station. Also located close to one of the main tram hubs making it extremely easy to get around the city.

Hotel situato strategicamente permettendo una facile e veloce movimentazione. Camera senza troppe pretese, ben organizzata ma andrebbe curata meglio la pulizia precisamente c'era polvere sul bordo del letto. Personale alla reception molto cordiale e disponibile. Nel complesso è un hotel che suggerisco a chi cerca un punto ben collegato e dal buon rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Zimmer klein, schwer erreichbar 1 Stockwerk ohne Lift! Frühstück fehlten schon einige Dinge, und Sie wurden in der Zeit wo wir vor Ort waren auch nicht aufgefüllt Zeit war so gegen 9 Uhr morgens! Alles Andre oassre!!

Die Aussicht beim Frühstück war toll. Das Zimmer ist wirklich extrem klein, man kann kaum zur Tür rein kommen, aber dann ist es passabel sauber und ordentlich. Ist burn wirklich kein Luxus, aber für einmal übernachten ist es ausreichend.

Room was super clean, comfortable and well heated. Don't make the same mistake as I did and make sure you check if you're in a lift accessible room! I didn't realise I booked for a room that was stairs accessible only and I found myself lugging my suitcase up three floors haha. Luckily it was just for one nights stay! In saying that, even if you're in a lift accessible room, there are stairs to enter the building (unsure however if this can be bypassed by going through parking), enter reception and to the main area where the rooms are. For people who may need more accessibility, it might not be the best! It's otherwise a good hotel, you get a free transport card and discounts with your stay.

Hotel was clean, and I enjoyed that it connected to grand hotel Euler, and having access to their reception staff, fitness room etc. Mattress was bit hard and pillows too soft. Otherwise nothing else to complain about.

The location was very central and convenient to the Bahnhof and the airport bus and city tram stations. The breakfast was good with lactose free milk options available. The staff were very friendly. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Perfect for an airport stay.

1-night stay in Basel, and City Inn was great for this. Firstly I arrived ahead of time, just to drop off my luggage before officially checking in at 3pm. However my husband and I had 4 suitcases and 2 backpacks and I kindly requested a room with elevator access on short notice. The receptionist who assisted me was so courteous and helpful! I was able to get my room one time and close to elevator. The room was spacious and clean. Bathroom EXTRA huge. I think we got an upgraded room due to the location of the elevator. I definitely appreciate the assistance. Location of this hotel is ideal! Walking distance to the SBB and steps away from the trams/buses. Breakfast was included and was simple and enough for us! Great value for money.

This hotel isn't an actual "proper" hotel, it seems to be the top 3 floors of a different hotel, and the check-in is even done in the reception of a 3rd hotel next door. Is a very strange setup. Having said that, the room that we got was decent value, comfortable and clean and with lots of space (a nice change coming from Paris). Location is great, right outside the door of the main train station, and maybe 5mins walk from the city center.

Had a much larger room for my second stay - overnighter before flight next morning. Reception good. Did not try breakfast but it was good the week before. Well located to see Basel and just 75 yards from rail station and airport bus.

A good hotel, well located near the rail station. Checking in was fuss-free on arrival for my 2 night stay. Returning for 1 night before returning to the UK the following morning. Room was ok although it did have several areas of low ceilings - not helpful when you are 6’ 2”. Bathroom was functionally good. Very large shower with an overhead and usual water outlet. Water was hot and came with very good pressure (room was on the 3rd floor). Breakfast was v good with selection of all you really need. Dining room located on the 8th with good views.

The City Inn offers a real bargain in Basel, so long as you like an architectural puzzle. A single building has been subdivided into one expensive hotel and one mid-price hotel, and all the rooms and passageways in between the two that didn't quite make sense have been called the City Inn. You check in at the posh hotel and have a fine breakfast in a panoramic 8th floor room in the mid-price hotel, and somewhere in between you wander various corridors and bits of staircase looking for your room. It will be odd when you find it, but comfortable, and very reasonably priced.

Overall, it's a good hotel, conveniently located right in front of Basel SBB. The front desk staff were very helpful, and the breakfast was good. If you're traveling with heavy luggage, it's recommended to ask for a room with elevator access. However, there's room for improvement regarding room cleanliness (photos enclosed).
