I’ve been traveling quite a bit lately and this is one of my very favorite hotels. It is sleek, minimal, bright, and beautifully maintained. It had everything I needed and was very well located. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Modern chic hotel operated by super helpful people at the lovely quarter of Basel! 3 of us stayed 4 nights in Garden View Suite with washer/dryer + ample water shower and couldn't be happier. Most of the city's main attractions are within walking distance and strolling on many little passages throughout was a lot of fun. Tram#3 stops directly in front of the hotel, which easily connects with Tram#8 or #11 to Basel SSB main station. One advice is to bring Type J adapter for charging. We sincerely recommend the stay at SET:-)

Room was large and comfortable. The hotel is set in a very quiet part of the city center. Convienient to shopping and the Xmas markets we were there to see.

La stanza era perfetta e pulita. La ragazza all'accoglienza scortese e per niente collaborativa, ha sbagliato a scrivere anche il numero della camera sul cartoncino.

The room was spotless. The hotel is very spacious and is in a great location. My room was overlooking the yard so it was very quiet. Very walkable and safe neighborhood! Would highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again next time I’m in Basel!

This hotel is located in a lovely quiet neighborhood and still has easy access everywhere. FYI, when we arrived on Sunday, the tram #3 did not go straight to the tram stop near the hotel (Music Academy), and we needed to switch to the #3 bus, which took us some figuring out--obviously the hotel should not be blamed for this. We got just the right degree of attention from the hotel staff during our stay. Tall people may find the attic room we were in a little restrictive as well as the cabinet above the kitchen sink.

Excellent room and hotel, and would love to go back. Excellent service, design and location. Felt at home and also enjoyed the communal spaces such as lobby/bar area, garden and gym. Very welcoming and nice to relax at. Very nice location too, easy to walk to key attractions, restaurants, bars , the river and great access to public transport. Beautiful room and very comfortable too. Plus points for the bikes and the travel card for free public transport and discounts to key attractions. Thank you. Will definitely return :)

We stayed in the new annex across the street from this historic hotel. The room was super clean, modern and quiet. It had a beer bar and small cafe in the ground floor. English speakers on staff were excellent. We ate in the historic restaurant and that was great, if pricey. Easily walkable to campus and old part of town with classic architecture. Right on tram line. We stayed one night before getting on Rhine River Cruise.

Hotel a quelque minutes de l aéroport en transport en commun. A 5 min de la gare de train. Plein choix de resto et épicerie a pieds. Grande chambre avec frigo et plaque a induction. Vraiment un coup de coeur!

Wonderfully QUIET convenient area, directly on tram #3 stop. Rooms were well appointed and staff very friendly. Breakfast was across the street in their other hotel and was very good. Appreciated the air conditioning

We only stayed one night before our flight back home, but from what we say the property was very nice. Clean and big rooms, modern bathrooms, quiet neighborhood - if you arrive by car watch out for the speed trap just before you arrive at the hotel! As with many hotels in Basel, they provide you with a card for free local transportation, very useful.

Vom Hotel aus ist man in ein paar Gehminuten am Barfüsserplatz. Das war super. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig.

Very comfortable, great location. We've stayed in the older portion of the hotel before, this newer unit was much more spacious. It is equipped with a kitchen, which can be a bonus.

Very nice, clean, quiet, good size room and comfortable bed. Staff was very accommodating. Good walkable neighborhood and convenient to tram stop. 2 very good restaurants at tram stop, maybe a 5 minute walk from hotel.

Fantastic location- trams we’re easy to learn, #3 stopped less than a block from SET and it was easy to transfer to go wherever we wanted. Trams and buses were free with the Basel Card provided by the hotel. The Basel Card also gave us half-price entry to all the museums. Daily cleaning was available and appreciated. Staff spoke excellent English and were friendly and helpful. Loved having a kitchen and dishwasher, especially since restaurants were very expensive. Also great having a washer. Only negatives were that the dining room chairs were very uncomfortable, not enough light in the living room and the bedroom, top kitchen cabinets are the same size as lower cabinets, so you have to be careful not to bang your head when you use the sink. Nice to have coffee for Nespresso machine, tea bags, sugar, and cream provided. Be aware that items in the small refrigerator and on the counter are for purchase not a welcome gift. Bed was comfortable. Would stay again.

Great hotel, lovely staff who were very accommodating and made travelling with a toddler so much less stressful. Perfect location on the edge of the old town.

We had a wonderful stay here. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived there. The front desk person walked us to our room. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable. Gym was modern and clean. Breakfast was delicious. We had dinner there also and the food was also delicious. The location was right by a tram, so easy to get around town. I would highly recommend this hotel and stay there again.

Hele goede familiekamer met op loopafstand veel dineropties, inclusief het tegenovergelegen hotel waar dit hotel bijhoort. Heel vriendelijk personeel en goed ontbijt.

The staff at SET and Teufelhof are nothing short of AMAZING! Hands down this was the best hotel stay of my life. The front staff new my name from the time I walked in the door and were quick to follow up with me on my plans and make sure I had the best experience in Basel possible! This will ALWAYS be my go-to when I stay in Basel

Perfect location for getting around Basel - walking distance to centre of old town yet in a quiet road. Air con, coffee machine in spacious room made my stay very comfortable. Staff very friendly and welcoming - will stay here again when next in Basel which is such a lovely city.
