The receptionist was excellent. She helped us out with a language difficulty with our Uber driver.

Lots of place to dine, a bit far from the old town and main train station. We just used uber to go around places.

The hotel was very well located for public transport and dining options/ supermarket - the staff were friendly - there was a useful fridge in the room. Although there was no air con, fans were provided which worked well in the heat.

Excellent property with great staff and dining. City trams stop right in front of the hotel.

The hotel is in a great area near a tram stop. The restaurant has interesting Ukrainian cuisine, for dining indoors or out. There are several other restaurants very close. The staff was professional, if not especially friendly. There is no front desk staff available overnight.

Very good value hotel for the money I paid. Two minutes from waitrose, 3 to the tube. Room was basic but quite big for a UK room. Bathroom was a little small however.
Overall, would happily stay again.
I hope they sort the gym out however!

The receptionists were really friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the stay but I really have to praise the receptionists in particular.

Reception staff came quickly and was friendly and helpful.
Tight car parking, but very close.
Nice restaurant attached with live music and chef who showed us proper way to eat some Ukranian dishes.
Greet street car access to various sites.
Our std double room had a small, but very workable bathroom. Our window opened into a building filled court yard.

Very comfortable and clean double room! Our stay in Alexander Hotel was nice, breakfast was good and there were sweet and salty delicious meals. The position is strategic and perfectly linked to the city centre (500 meters on foot) with bus and tram stop in front of the hotel! The structure is located near a very quiet road: our 3 nights were pleasant! I recommend it for your stay in Basel! See you next time, thankss!

Das Einzelzimmer war sehr schön, größeres Bett, Kühlschrank, Kaffeemaschine.Bad, Dusche super.
Frühstücksbuffet wurde immer wieder aufgefüllt und große Auswahl von allem.

Tres bon hôtel, la chambre et salle de bain etaient tres propres et confortables, et la localisation dans le petit Bale, proche des transport en commun (gratuits avec la BaselCard offerte pour tout sejour) était super pratique.

I often choose this hotel when travelling to Basel, not far from the congress center and practical. Rooms are clean.

La stanza comoda, pulita e con tutti i comfort necessari. Si trova a pochi metri dalla fermata del tram che permette di collegarsi al centro con facilità.

L'hôtel est très confortable. Il nous a offert les transports gratuits et diverses réductions tout au long de notre séjour. Le réceptionniste est d'une gentillesse remarquable et parle français. De 6h30 à 21h, le café est offert. L'hôtel est bien situé, le lit confortable, ka salle de bains aussi. En revanche, notre séjour s'est déroulé en pleine canicule et le petit ventilateur non rotatif n'était pas suffisant. Il faisait bien trop chaud.

Die Mitarbeiterinnen an der Rezeption und im Frühstücksraum waren sehr hilfreich und freundlich. Das Zimmer war in Ordnung. Das Bett sollte dringend erneuert werden.

Beds very comfy. Suite was very spacious and lots of outside balcony space.

I had failed to note that Hotel Alexander does not have air conditioning, and it was very, very hot. Mid 90s Fahrenheit (low 30s Celsius). So we were not comfortable, but in all other respects, this hotel was wonderful. The staff were all helpful, kind, and professional. The tram stop was a 2 minute walk. The free breakfast was hot and delicious. The WiFi worked. The room was spacious for European hotel rooms, and we loved the large balcony patio. Great for a family of 4.

Small and friendly hotel approximately 20mins walk from the charming old city centre. Also on tram route. Clean and functional room with safe and coffee maker. Buffet breakfast had plenty of choice. As a base for a 3 day stay it was ideal.

Zimmer war absolut ok- einzig der Fernseher etwas unglücklich platziert... Heizung im Bad war am Morgen kalt was sehr schade war- hätte ein warmes Handtuch bevorzugt- dass es geheizt hat während ich schlief war etwas unnötig...
