The staff is attentive and gracious. The upstairs room with balcony, very nice though the room often needed better sweeping.
My impression is many people come for the weekend
—washing and hanging clothes everywhere and couples with screaming children who take over the pool.
Otherwise it’s a very lovely spot, great location.

Alles war sehr gut, sauber und gut gepflegt. Das Hotel hat aber gerade zwei Namen - Sunrise hotel und La Palm, was etwas verwirrend ist. Ansonsten eine makellose Dienstleistung. Immer wieder gerne.

ナイトマーケットから近くですが、大通りを入った場所なので、静かでゆっくりと過ごせる宿です．
プールも小さいけれど綺麗で清潔出した。
鶏の声と共にゆったり水辺で語らうのもいいですねー。
向かい側には小さな食堂もあり美味しいですよ

This was one of the best places we stayed while in laos.
Room were large, clean and comfortable. The pool was amazing as were the staff. Location fantastic, overall would highly recommend staying here

Hôtel très bien situé pour visiter la ville à pied.
Personnel souriant et sympathique.
Piscine agréable, petit déjeuner varié.
Possibilité de louer un scooter sur place pour aller plus loin voire même jusqu'au chutes de Kuang Si (7€ la journée)
Possibilité de déposer son linge à laver à prix très correct(1€ le kg)

Sunrise is a nice little sanctuary of a property not far from the evening market. The hotel grounds are well kept and cute. Great pool area, although the pool runs very cold. The rooms were perfect--charming, clean and roomy. The staff are very warm and helpful.

My husband & I stayed at this lovely, peaceful hotel for 2 nights in June 2023. It was in a good central location, close to shops & night markets where the food & drinks were cheap & good. Our hotel room was clean, bed comfy & nice free toiletries. The outside surrounds were beautiful & very well maintained, as was the pool. The included free breakfast was very good with a huge selection of western & Asian cuisine. And the manager was very helpful & couldn't have done more for us.

Amazing staff (always available and supportive). Very good position: you can easily walk around Luang Prabang from this hotel. All the spaces are clean and tidy: rooms, beds, bathrooms, swimming pool. The breakfast could be better. We absolutely recommend this place!

정말 라오스 숙소중에 제일 좋았어요.
1. 직원들이 너무친절
2. 수영장은 밤에 불이 꺼져도 데스크에 얘기하면 켜줌.

4. 위치도 야시장이랑 걸어서 5분정도? 좋았어요

Excellent all round, except for WiFi which was really annoying. Especially when trying to confirm check in with airline chat, kept getting disconnected. It needs boosters to improve signal.

Clean rooms, great staff, and friendly. Not much on offer for breakfast was ok.
Great spot not to far from anywhere, can walk to night market and surrounding neighbourhoods which are a bit cheaper. There are also small shops on the street which you can get most things needed.
FYI the pool is great, just a bit cold

The whole resort in simply stunning, the swimming pool is big and in good condition. The room was very nice too and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s close to many attractions and services etc. Its great hotels like this one that makes Luang Prabang a nice place to stay.

Balcony room overlooking garden was just lovely. Bed was the best we'd had on our Asian trip. Safe & small fridge in room & daily housekeeping with usual toothpaste, toothbrushes & shower caps left in bathroom. Great pressure & very hot water in bathroom. No bath, but shower was quite big. They are doing renovations there now, May 2025. Spray from paint spray gun was very overpowering whilst in pool one day. Otherwise, it was a very peaceful, quiet place to stay. Nice big pool was lovely & very clean. Lots of sun loungers with umbrellas & towels all laid out ready for use. Breakfast was good, great selection, especially the fruit. Cleanliness was a priority, they were sweeping, mopping, gardening, doing general maintenance every day. Garden was just lovely. Nice & close to Mekong river, with eateries in one direction & night markets & cafes the other. Side of road stalls everywhere. The lady across road has great food & guy down a couple of doors has cold beers, etc & ice. Also there was a lady across road who did our laundry for $30,000 kip per kg.. great service.

Für 2 Nächte war die Unterkunft sehr gut, kleines, ausreichendes Frühstück, sehr nettes Personal, die uns Taxis für Ausflüge und zum Flughafen organisiert haben. Wir würden wieder kommen.

Pros: Service was exceptional-special thanks to James at rest of staff. Good location too - very central.
The room was very comfortable.
Cons: Being a vegetarian i felt the breakfast wasnt great. Quite noisy as i could hear Cockerells from 4am but that cant be helped. It is a busy period in Luang Prabang so all hotel's are bumping up the price - despite this, i didnt think £120/night was worth it all.

This is a lovely hotel in an excellent location. The reception was very helpful in booking us scooters and arranging our ongoing transportation. The only issue we had was with the aggressive mosquitoes that were constantly there. It made enjoying the lovely balcony or sitting for breakfast uncomfortable.

Many small problems in the hotel, many repairs needed. Breakfast underwhelming and promised booking times not met. We did enjoy the pool area and the location was great.

1) Wifi is very bad, hence smart TV in room becomes useless.
2)Very run-down and in need of repair in many areas.

Property is well located and clean. It had 2 major downsides for me. These days we travel with a fair bit of technology that needs charging and our room had only 2 power points. Even worse, there was no power point that accepted a 3 pin plug which is needed to charge a laptop. Breakfast is not included in the room tariff but is available. I found that the eggs and bacon was cold every morning. Not very appealing.

⭐⭐ Overpriced and poor value for the service provided
I stayed 5 nights and paid $518.95 total (about $104 per night). At this price, I expected basic comfort and functionality. Unfortunately, the experience fell far below expectations, and this hotel is significantly overpriced.
Key issues:
• The air conditioner only provided cooling, with no heating, despite dropping temperatures.
• A portable heater was provided only on the last day, after I explicitly requested it. By then, I had already caught a cold.
• Wi-Fi was unreliable and slow, and cellular service was extremely poor.
• Communication via WhatsApp was ineffective.
• The room telephone was difficult to use, with no instructions.
• When I requested 4:00 pm room cleaning, housekeeping repeatedly arrived 10–15 minutes early, causing inconvenience.
• Breakfast was mediocre.
• My door was locked from the inside by the door bolt, and staff handled the situation unprofessionally by entering a neighboring room.
• Toilet paper and basic amenities (toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, hair dryer) were very low quality.
• The lobby restroom was dirty, and a broken exterior light outside my room was never fixed.
• No microwave was available.
City context: The city is over-marketed and lacks basic infrastructure. Roads are poor, internet and cellular service are unreliable.
The only positive was that the hotel waived a small laundry fee.
Overall, this feels like a $40–50/night hotel, not $100+. I would not recommend.
