Das Hotel und Zimmer waren in einem Topzustand. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück war auch sehr gut.
Das einzige Problem war der Club auf der anderen Straßenseite. Nachts haben Jugendliche gegrölt.

We stayed for 5 nights and it was fantastic. Big thanks to Samuel at the front desk for making it extra special. Room was extremely comfortable - shower and bathroom super clean. Spa was nice during the cold of the winter. Included breakfast was very good but could have used a little bit more variety. Service was solid - whenever we ordered anything, it arrived minutes later. And location is unbeatable - walking distance to everything and trains readily available a block away.

We were so happy with our stay at this beautiful hotel in the heart of Basel's Old Town. It was within easy walking distance of everything we wanted to do, had very welcoming and helpful staff, and was so comfortable. I will definitely plan to stay here again on our next trip to the city.

Excellent location staff very informative on tram routes to various sites and shopping. Complementary soda and water in minibar. Very clean and spacious rooms for a European would stay here againhotel.

If you are visiting Basel the Marthof is the perfect choice. Charm, location, clean, spacious rooms.
Close to everything and most tours start from here in the area for convenience or a short 10 min walk. Restaurants galore from all varieties and cultures.
The staff is excellent. The breakfast is buffet wonderful.
I promise you will love it!

the hotel is immaculate, the staff are friendly and efficient, the location is superb and the Bohemia cafe is a buzzy place during the day and evenings.

Very modern, clean room. We had a lower room so the tram ran by regularly but not too loud. Staff was helpful and the bar had excellent drinks before dinner

This hotel is exceptional! I really loved my stay here. Our room was really clean and big. The location is conveniently located in the heart of the city. We were able to just walk to to the Christmas market locations in Münsterplatz and Barfusserplatz. The hotel staffs were really nice and very helpful. There is also a very good restaurant on the first level called Bohemia. I would definitely recommend this place.

Lovely hotel, great attention to detail in both cleaning and amenities. The bistro was also great for a drink and a fantastic breakfast.

Not only was our room super clean and comfortable, but the staff truly is the shining star. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. They go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and will assist you with any help you need - from finding where your riverboat is docked to helping you with finding but eventually replacing your lost phone. Will be highly recommending Hotel Marthof to friends and will return. Cannot thank them enough!

A 5-star stay: clean, comfortable room with quality furniture, an inclusive stocked fridge, and a good varied buffet breakfast. Staff were helpful, but tram noise at night may bother light sleepers. Highly recommended overall.

The staff was excellent. They were extremely helpful. I was recovering from a knee surgery during our visit and the staff were very accommodating. The location of the hotel is very good for sight seeing and shopping.

The fancy angular receptacles don’t accommodate barrel or flat plug multi-country adapters. Fortunately there were USB receptacles.

Its smack down town Basel it has everything you would ever need walking distance, also close to all tran lines to move further if needed.
Has restaurants shops all walking distance just 1 block from river and very close to cathedral area as well.

Loved everything about this hotel. The hotel was convenient to shopping, restaurants, transportation and groceries. Rooms had a nice lay out and were a good size. Every hotel staff member we encountered were helpful and pleasant. I highly recommend this hotel without any reservations.
