Staff so helpful, cleanliness off the hotel.
Had a little problem with our bathroom sink, but it got fixed within half a hour

Enjoyed our furstvtime back in Basel for years, apart from the weather but Hotel Basel aren't responsible for that

Close to all attractions, yet very quiet at night. Service and staff are excellent! Great restaurant where I enjoyed wonderful breakfasts and dinners. Highly recommended 👍

I would give it 10 Stars if I could. I stayed here for 10 nights and found it to be exceptional in every regard. The staff went above and beyond to assist in any way they could. I have only praise for this hotel and highly recommend it.

Nice property in the heart of old town. No true air conditioning (apparently not permitted in that part of the city) but their innovative cooling system (circulating water through the basement I believe) was very effective. Great stay!

In downtown Basel so close to many activities.
Breakfast not included. But, that was one of my Expedia search criteria so this a disappointment.

This property was fantastic.I especially loved how helpful and pleasant the staff were at the front desk, restaurant and the bar.Also the cleaning staff were so thorough.

Hotel Basel is a beautiful property. We had a very large room with a stunning painted beam ceiling, very comfortable bed and linens. While we did not take advantage, the hotel gave us passes for public transit valid for our two night stay. We walked everywhere though as shopping and restaurants are all close. We dined at the hotel one night and had a delicious wild garlic risotto with asparagus. The breakfast room was lovely with much to choose. If you go to Basel stay here!

The breakfast was outstanding. The location was great for two reasons: it was right in the old town but also it was very near a tram station. The facilities were clean and nice. The staff were friendly. A great experience.

This is the perfect place to stay in Old Town Basel. You can walk everywhere and the shopping street is right there. The room was very modern and bright. Highly recommend the bar for a drink or dinner as it is cozy! Front desk staff very friendly!

This is a delightful hotel centrally located in the heart of the old town. Walking distance to everything, plus they give you a free shuttle pass which allows the guest to travel throughout the city. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The room was quiet and clean.

Such a great hotel! The staff was amazing right down to the housekeepers. They let us have an early check in from the cruise ship! Made arrangements for our cabs. We LOVED it.

The staff was very helpful in helping us plan out of the city excursions and great recommendations for in the city! Very comfortable accommodations all around! Would highly recommend staying here!

We came to Basel a couple days before we boarded our Viking cruise. This hotel was PERFECT for exploring the city as it was centrally located. You walk out and you’re steps away from restaurants, shops, the tram & more. The hotel was clean and the restaurant & bar were good. The staff could not be more friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations and things to do. If you are in the Basel area and want to stay in old town then I would highly suggest you stay here.

Location, location, location!! We were able to walk everywhere from this hotel. Many restaurants nearby. The main attractions in Basel are very close. The staff went out of their way to help us, including arranging a taxi pickup at 4am. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful property with great amenities in old town. Loved the local shops around the corner. Staff was extremely helpful, able to easily communicate in my native language.

Lovely hotel in the heart of Basel. Staff was very welcoming and helpful, location was perfect for walking and there were bakeries and restaurants nearby. We had the hotel breakfast one morning and it was delicious. Upon check-in we were given a tram pass for our stay which made it so easy to explore Basel. We would love to come back.
