Super fun hostel in the heart of Hilo. They offer a daily activity so don't book any excursions until you see what they have to offer. The staff was great! Shoutout to Colette, Rose, and the tour guide who took us up to Mauna Kea for the sunset (sorry "J" I am AWFUL with names but thank you for a great tour!). The free chocolate chip pancakes and coffee in the morning are a great way to start the day. Howzit was an incredibly reasonable rate for a comfortable place to stay and a clean, comfortable bed to sleep in. Can't wait to come back and visit again soon.

Awesome place! The bunks are comfortable and one of the best hostel ones Ive seen anywhere. But the rooms are usually 6 beds per room but the rooms are very large.
Location: amazing, downtown (main area lol, Hilo is a small town!)
Parking is free nearby at a 3 min walk.
Great people and welcoming.

love the pancakes. the bins for luggage below the bunks were pretty busted - it would be nice if they worked. otherwise a very lovely place

Our family of three stayed in one of the private rooms. We felt comfortable and relaxed there. There were plenty of bathrooms to choose from. Very nice hostel.

We were very impressed with this property. Very clean. Staff was great. Access to a kitchen. Loved the breeze coming in the through the windows during the night. I would totally stay here again.

Rented the private room, enjoyed music playing dt night festivity right outside my window. Room, bathroom, kitchen and common area very clean.

Hostel was very nice and clean! Staff made it outstanding. Love the tour options available for $20. Highly recommend. Diego was awesome!

I love being downtown

I had a 2-week stay there and it was like living in a frat-house! Staff was mostly inattentive to the facilities and guest unless they were flirting with them. The kitchen was dirty most of the time-I did a complete cleaning 5 times because no one cleaned up after themselves. Outlets in the bunks didn’t work most of the time. I would not EVER stay there again

I got no response after accidentally booking the wrong date. I immediately contacted both expedia and the property to try to fix the mistake and got no response from anyone. I ended up having to pay for both that wrong date that I could not use and I had to pay for another property on the correct date. Incredibly frustrating and expensive. I have limited income so this has broken me and ruined my trip.
