Our room was clean and spacious. We had just left a river cruise ship, and the seating area was so welcome. Attentive and helpful staff were a bonus. Highly recommended

Nice hotel with great service. We had a great stay here and would stay again. It was well located, clean and comfortable. The staff were all friendly and welcoming.
There is free coffee available all day and infused water at reception which is a nice touch.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly! The room was in great shape and very comfortable! The breakfast was delicious and had great variety. I highly recommend Hotel Rochat.

Lovely hotel, very friendly and professional staff,they couldnt do enough to help. Rooms where spacious and clean. The hotel was in a fantastic location, really close to the centre of town but still quiet at night. The breakfast was plentiful and very good quality. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great location with clean rooms. Perfect for our one-night layover. It was easy to walk into City Center and see the market place and cute shops. Front desk was very helpful in coordinating transportation and verifying travel info for us.

Only small negative was having to climb one set of 8-10 stairs w luggage to get to the older part of the hotel.
Had a lift once over there, and a nice courtyard.
There during some autumn festivals so the Platz were wonderful. Good walking and excellent trams.
Definitely would stay there again

Near mass transit; hotel povides you with a tourist pass for this amenity.
Great location near Marketplatz, and we were able to attend the Autumnfest, on the same street( end of October).

The Rochat i super convenient: a nice, clean, quiet and relaxed take off for walks in the Old Town and visits to all the great Art-museums of Basel. We had a wonderful prolonged weekend-stay.

Comfortable, spotlessly clean, great location with excellent breakfast. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the hotel provides vouchers for free public transport and reduced entry to museums and galleries. It easy to walk to the old town in less than 5 minutes. Cafes, bakeries and restaurants surround this hotel. It is older, dating back to 1892... a little dated but I loved every moment there.

Hotel Rochat ligt in de oude binnenstad, dus heel veel is op wandelafstand. Grote kamer, goed ontbijt, aardig personeel, kortom een hotel waar je graag wilt zijn
Parkeren is op een paar honderd meter afstand in een parkeergarage, maar die hadden we pas bij vertrek weer nodig, dus geen probleem. Ook niet om de koffers voor de deur uit- en in te laden. Gratis openbaar vervoer was fijn voor een bezoek aan Vitra Design, de andere musea en de Rijnoevers zijn op loopafstand (zeker met het stralend warme weer dat wij hadden, eind september). De aircoi op de laagste stand maakte nauwelijks geluid, zodat de ramen "s nachts dicht konden blijven tegen geluid van buiten.
Hele goede bedden trouwens en een strakke badkamer. Aanrader dus...

Hotellet var rigtig fint og lå centralt, så vi nemt kunne komme rundt til både byen, restauranter og seværdigheder. Morgenmaden var god, og personalet var meget søde og hjælpsomme. Eneste ulempe var, at der ikke er en restaurant / bar på hotellet, men det opvejes af de mange gode spisesteder og bar i nærheden.

Our room was very clean. The lobby was comfortable. As they hotel use made up of 3 buildings it was a little tricky finding our way around the hotel. There was no way of getting to our room without at least 5 stairs even with luggage. It would have been great to have had the option of breakfast included in rate.
Hotel location is right beside the old city and only steps to the Rhine River.
